Having a Family Is Not Easy for Everyone
Archery range in session. Do not enter.
Quite frankly, the sign made you giggle.
Although the students were using blunt tipped arrows and the real action was not directed at the door, the elementary physical education teacher was not taking any chance. To be honest, even without a sign you never would have thought to walk into the gymnasium. As an elementary school sub during the middle of April, you are thankful for the 30 minute break that the PE class provided. This day, this whole year, in fact, you have probably had more energy and patience for many of these jobs. With your older daughter graduating from college and your younger daughter graduating from high school these jobs to the elementary bring back a lot of memories. In addition to remembering the days when the girls were in these early Montessori classrooms, you also remember the days when you feared you would never have children.
After trying for two or three years on your own, you and your husband decided to visit one of the recommended fertility centers. It was a long process, but in the end it was successful Two healthy pregnancies, and years of Montessori classes and parenting, later you cannot imagine a life where you would not be standing in a hall giggling to yourself about a sign that warns you not to enter the gym for fear of flying blunt tipped arrows.
Fertility Centers Offer Hope to Many Couples
Doctors who are infertility specialities often find themselves offering hope to couples who otherwise might live their entire lives with no children. With the help of the latest services offered at fertility centers across the country there are many couples who have the families they once could have only dreamed of. In fact, some of the latest research indicates that as many as 7.4 million women, or 11.9%, have ever received any infertility services in their lifetime. This is an astonishing number when you realize that only 44% of women with infertility have ever sought medical assistance. Of those who do seek medical intervention, however, approximately 65% give birth.
Women are most fertile between the ages of 20 and 24, but we live in a time when more and more people are waiting to start their families. First, many Americans want to make sure that they finish their college degrees, purchase a home, then start their careers before they begin their families. By the time they are ready to have kids, however, they are at an age where it is not as easy to achieve pregnancy.
In fact, fertility starts to decline for women from about the age of 30, dropping down more steeply after the age of 35. Fortunately, as many as 85% to 90% of infertility cases are treated with drug therapy or surgical procedures. These successes come at a price, but it is also worth the energy and the effort. The day that you get to hear your daughter talk about her own adventures with archery in elementary class, in fact, makes everything worthwhile.
